Continuing our efforts to keep you updated on Hurricane Isaac, below is a current Pilot Flying J update from our afternoon emergency response conference call.
We have been notified by local authorities in the following locations that mandatory evacuations and curfews will go into effect this evening at the times noted below. We will re-open these locations as soon as it is allowed by local authorities.
Pilot #082 – LaPlace, LA – will close at 5pm cst
Flying J #676 – Gulfport, MS – will close at 7 pm cst
As of 12:30 pm est, the National Hurricane Center upgraded Isaac to a Hurricane. Current sustained winds are 75 miles per hour with wind gusts of 80-90 mph. Landfall is projected for 10 pm to midnight cst this evening and is showing a direct landfall in Baton Rouge, LA stretching to about an hour southwest of New Orleans. The following is a list of Pilot Flying J locations that are in the path of the storm and will remain open, unless power is lost or late evacuation notices are mandated:

Satsuma, AL
Midway, FL
Marianna, FL
Hammond, LA
Breaux Bridge, LA
Denham Springs, LA
As anticipated, most terminals are now closed in the area; we will update you as they begin to reopen. We have positioned all of our trucks north of the storm so they are ready to move product to the locations when it is safe to operate the equipment and racks re-open.
Our emergency response team has moved to 3 calls per day until the storm moves through. We will continue to keep you updated on current conditions and closures.
