Operation Safe Driver Week

 October 14-20, 2012 is Operation Safe Driver Week.  Expect more roadside inspections.

This week is a focus on educating ourselves and others on the importance of safe driving.  .  According to the US Department of Transportation, distracted driving resulted in nearly 6,000 deaths and more than half a million injuries in 2008.

According to CSVA.org Operation Safe Driver website more then 40,000 people die on roadways in North America, many of which are a direct result of unsafe driving practices.
